Spanish 200 words a day
Before you buy learn Spanish with 200 words a day, ask yourself first why you want to learn Spanish and which Spanish courses you already have.

Learn Spanish 200 words a day does exactly that: teaching you how to memorize Spanish words fast. When you have a basic Spanish knowledge or a basic Spanish course, then buying a special book just for memorizing Spanish words makes complete sense.

Any good memorizing program or flashcards should use images, as the mind associates images with words much faster than associating a Spanish word to an English word. And this is the weakness of the 200 words a day Spanish method: the pictures are fun, but the memorizing technique still depends on English words.

Problem of 200 words a day Spanish

Take the example in the picture above from the "200 words a day Spanish course".

In order to memorize the Spanish word "por", you first need to read the English words and associate the English word "pouring" with the Spanish word "por".

That is a lot of effort for your brain! Your memory will work much better without reading the words like the Spanish Flashcards I created for my Spanish Students:

You see a duck, you see the pate and
the next time somebody asks you what duck means, you will say 'pate' oops "pato", as lots of words end on 'o' "in Spanisho".

Another example that you can use in a Spanish restaurant:

You see rice and you see an arrow pointing at it and
the next time you want to order rice in a Spanish restaurant, you will say "arroz".

Even if you only remember arrow and you ask the waiter for some 'arrow', the waiter will know you are asking for arroz and will correct you for free!

Learning a language is more than just memorizing words. The Learn 200 words a day Spanish package is a great and fun way for memorizing words. If you have no other means of practicing Spanish, then these or any other memory flashcards are a great way to get a strong passive knowledge of the Spanish vocabulary.
